Vishal and Rafiqua

Pastor Vishal is of East Indian background, and has a passion to serve within the Punjabi community of the Greater Toronto area. With an MA in Theology, he demonstrates a heart of dedication and commitment in bringing the gospel to the unreached. Vishal loves engaging in conversation, loves bhangra music and is an avid cultural enthusiast.

He loves to witness the transformation of lives through Jesus.

Vishal enjoys quiet moments at Starbucks with his wife, watching movies with his kids, and always looking out for new trends! Along with his wife Rafiqua, they are affiliated with the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and are the founding pastors of Behta Darya Community Church.

 

 

 

Rafiqua is of a Pakistani and French Canadian background, and also has a passion to serve alongside Vishal. After deciding to leave her secular job in pharmaceuticals, she has committed herself in supporting her husband and the church whole-heartedly. Along with a talent for music, small group discussions and a love for 70s, 80s and 90s music, she has developed her identity within the church setting. In addition to her role in the church, she has also served as a member on the Executive Board for the MB Conference of Ontario (2012 – 2014). Her ministries include, BDCC’s outreach projects, DOZ (Daughter’s of Zion – women’s ministry), Levi’s Genes, (worship team leader) and the Sunday School ministry.

They reside in Mississauga, Ontario along with their three children, Summer, Elijah and Desiree.
